[*]Each map will be connected to the control room and will be a mini-walkthrough map. If you've ever played incoming, the map will play exactly as incoming did. Players will start in the control room and be instructed to go to the different forums and stop certain incidents which are common on the internet and the forums, such as the posting of smiley stories, spam threads, drunken moderators, and anything else that can be thought of. [*]Players will be instructed to venture into each forum at random. The door will not open to a forum unless triggered by the control room. [*]Each section does not have to and should not be ‘kill everything and you win’ style. For instance, you could have the players protect something. This will permit the map to offer something different in each area. [*]Mappers can either set the monsters in their section up on their own or they can leave it to another person to do it for them. They must stick with the storyline. You can't just start adding in aliens and explain that a resonance cascade is taking place when everyone else is being killed by  sprites. [*]Be more creative than I am and think of something that is both hilarious and unique. Don't just copy my ideas, think of something that happens on the forums daily or even in the past and re-create it in your section. [*]All mappers will be given a total of 48 hours to map their section. By this, I do not mean two days counting sleep and work. I mean 48 hours of mapping. You can either time yourself and add up the hours or just estimate. Since we are all mapping at the same time, we will only start to bug you about it once more than 50% of the maps are turned in. It really shouldn't take you longer than two or three weeks to do this. [*]If you have blatantly had too long to map, whatever you have must be turned in or you will be excluded from the project entirely. [*]If you really need help with ideas for what your section should be or you need entity help, you can either drop by #mapping on gamesurge.net on IRC (instructions here), or you can PM JPolito. Both sources should be willing to assist you. [*]YOU MUST USE TEXTURE LIGHTING. Light entities are NOT allowed. Any conflicting texture lights will be sorted out later. If you don't know how to use texture lights, follow this guide. [*]Custom content is allowed. Just don't take anything from anywhere that you shouldn't (particularly HL2). Also don't plan on using anything that will make the filesize huge. Full length songs will not be accepted. [*]Mapping will begin as soon as JPolito receives a message from all planned mappers. A PM has been sent to those who have not explained which section they wish to map.
